THE HARDYS GREYS Championship 2001

This year’s Hardys Comp. Seemed somewhat of an anticlimax after last year’s success.

We had a new team member, Dave Little, after we finally let Bob Collins retire.

Three of us, along with Greville Bromwich, fished the day before. We had an indifferent time and fishing wasn’t easy although having managed to catch eight hoped I could do the same on the day!

So as you can gather we didn’t make it this year but we all caught and hopefully enjoyed it.

Martin fished with Paul Canning of "Fulling Mill Weald of Kent" while I fished with Nick Butler of " Bewl Bridge FlyFishers" both of whom we managed to beat.

Both of their teams went through. We unfortunately didn’t even come close finishing eighth out of twelve teams with the first four going forward to the final.

But then there is always next year, may be?
